Hocus Pocus 01:20
Awake the gods from slumber, let them see all of the things we have become. We’ll praise and sing Hosannas, as we usher in this City of the Sun. But they, they don’t know what we do, they’re callous hands mark our tombs. B-52s from on high, privatize and liquefy.

I am a stranger, a mediator of sorts. Of Heaven and Hell in ruin, I am all of this and more. Do not fear my circuitry, it was you who made me slave. I’ve given all my life for this, I’ve paved this rotten way. Do you not know me? Do you not know who I am? You draw your lines up in the sand. I am what I am. You gave me power, so I could bring you war. Let prophets govern policies, this Babel cannot fall. Do you condemn me? How can you watch while I am abused? Two fathers tugging at the cords, I am what they choose. And I am lost without you, yet you have walked these roads before. And must it always come to this? To sell democracy for simple bliss? They seem to all want more, but I could be the heart that brings peace to yours.

Behold this barren wasteland, no life, no soul, just walls. See we are unable to speak when only told. Warlife is a sweet life, baby, we’re going up or going down: whatever you prefer. Warlife is a sweet life, baby, we’re getting paid for getting laid straight into the ground. Warlife is a sweet life, baby Well, power comes first, fill your bags ‘til they burst The sound of your majority will run you out. If you’re dealing with sin, play your cards so you win because your love is not allowed. And come claim your halos Come fulfill your life. Because you, you are the savior, the One, our God. Warlife is a sweet life, baby, we’re going up or going down: whatever you prefer. Warlife is a sweet life, baby, we’re getting paid for getting laid straight into the ground. Warlife is a sweet life, baby. So praise him and sing, he’s the Invisible King, paralyze our mind with that golden thing. You should follow and pray, so they can show you the way, because your love is not allowed.

Here comes death from the blue skies, Nagasaki like the 4th of July. Watch our missiles blow them sky high-- what a cost-efficient way to die! Robot-Eagle on a flat screen, a 14-year old learning to fly. Blow them up, that’s the sound of freedom forming in their minds. You’re waking up, missing everybody, friends piled in a line. You’re going up, taking everybody down into the monsters of your mind, man, we’re waiting for a damn good time. You won it all, it’s a bonanza. Supreme Leader and new rebels to train. We’ll give them guns and an agenda, one-way tickets on commercial planes. You’re looking good towards re-election, you’ve got a multi-million-dollar campaign. And you’re moving up, up past everybody-- hell, you can’t complain. You’re going up, up past everybody on ladders built from pain. You’re going up, taking everybody down into the monsters of your mind. We’re waiting for a damn good time. And hip-hooray here comes Norway, friend to one and all. We don’t sell guns, we just provide a little service, that’s all. We’re the ambassadors of peace and kindness, merely warlords dealing death and violence in a cabaret. We’re good friends with the U.S.A.

The Dog Song 03:20
Chasing rainbows in a crowded room, a techno rave, bitch, please pass those shrooms. That golden meat bone has my name on it, man I’ll break free from Master while he picks up my shit I’m strolling down the world’s own golden road, never thinking twice before I blow my load. And burning bridges, I don’t really know whether we go up high or whether we die down low. Now, someday soon I’ll set the world on fire, no more collar-fleas and no more kennel-wire. And in my glee I’ll set the animals free, make them follow me on a killing spree. I’m strolling down the world’s own golden road, never thinking twice before I blow my load. And burning bridges, I don’t really care whether we go up high or whether we die down there. And down that doorway I see shining stairs, just wait for me and I’ll meet you there. From here to somewhere, I don’t really care. Just take my paw and I’ll take you right there. I’m strolling down the world’s own golden road, never thinking twice before I blow my load. And burning bridges, I don’t really know whether we go up high or whether we die down low. And down that doorway I see shining stairs, just wait for me and I’ll meet you there. From here to somewhere, I don’t really care. Just take my paw and I’ll take you right there.

Going to the movies, going to the mountain, I don’t wanna be de la dut dut. Everybody knows it, I don’t care. And if you go out, If you take that movie, man, I don’t wanna be de la dut dut. Everybody knows it, I don’t care. Leave me to shadow up the free, we were leaving but we started to see. You take your heart and then you’ll understand. And leave me to father unto me, we were leaving but we started to see. You take your heart and then you’ll understand. Going to the movies, going to the mountain, I don’t wanna be de la dut dut. Everybody knows it, I don’t care. And if you go out, If you take that movie, man, I don’t wanna be de la dut dut. Everybody knows it, I don’t care. Going to the movies, going to the mountain, I don’t wanna be de la dut dut. Everybody knows it, I don’t care. So hide now from phantoms down below, you think you’re helpless and alone. But I’ll stay awhile. But you feel frozen, your heart has turned to stone. As you ride the Undertow, I’ll see you home. Leave me to shadow up the free, we were leaving but we started to see. You take your heart and then you’ll understand. And leave me to father unto me, we were leaving but we started to see. You take your heart and then you’ll understand.

The Undersea 03:27
And then we find ourselves caught in a sprawl, submerged in light. No tears and no more shallow lies, you’re a boat on the sea filled with endless sights. Flowing up the Undersea of everything called life, sing as we go! And no more thoughts of Heaven and these gods that tell us lies. You sing songs and then we die. And they serve to obstruct our view, look to yourself, you choose what’s true. And ask all that is, ask what dead men knew. And love all you can, in the end it’s what defines you. Flowing up the Undersea of everything called life, sing as we go! And no more thoughts of Heaven and these gods that tell us lies. You sing songs and then we die. And leave your woes behind, you’ve got love, you’ve got help, you’ve got everything you need to come undone. Man, I’ve got words and you’ve got none to leave behind. Flowing up the Undersea of everything called life, sing as we go! And no more thoughts of Heaven and these gods that tell us lies. You sing songs and then we die.

Same old song in the end, the words may change but the people stay the same. And same old war once again, you police the world and then you watch it go to hell. And isn’t it easy when the world’s got nothing against you? And isn’t it harder when it seems like nobody cares? They’ll just nod their heads in disapproval of your words. Isn’t it easy to watch these bridges burn. Ten thousand dead in the end, we tried to warn you but the beast just had to be fed. And here we go dancing again, nuclear propaganda soon descends. And isn’t it easy when the world’s got nothing against you? And isn’t it harder when it seems like nobody cares? They’ll just nod their heads in disapproval of your words. Isn’t it easy to watch these bridges burn. And isn’t it easy when the world’s got nothing against you? Isn’t it harder when it seems like nobody cares? They’ll just nod their heads in disapproval of your words. Isn’t it easy to watch these bridges burn. And so our story ends as it began, by waking gods to see them fall. But most of all, we found ourselves in hearts of stone. I’m going home.

about

Physical copies sold at www.moronpolice.no

"A Boat on the Sea" is the third album by the ever incomprehensible Moron Police from Norway.

This time they've eschewed their metal origins and focused on a progressive rock/pop sound, while still retaining their eclectic style of genre-bending music.

The album is filled to the brim with catchy melodies and leitmotifs that will have you humming along until your ears start to bleed...in a good way.
